I don't care about the Skins one way or another but am ecstatic about any prospect of rail and Kiss and Ride at the Harbor.

Reading some of these threads always reminds me of the "If wishes were fishes" saying.

If wishes were fishes we'd walk on the sea.
If wishes were fishes we'd all fly free.
But since there isn't a wish that I could give,
Then I'll simply hope that we get metro where I live.

I just wished in one hand and pooped in the other! But seriously, I wonder if County execs do troll citydata.

Having a new Redskin stadium in the Chrystal City area or Tysons Corner area is not far fetched at all.

That's kind of what I meant. You know, "It can just be built on a National Historic Landmark" kind of thing.

To really stir things up, we saw the same kind of semi-magical thinking about the now cancelled FBI HQ.

Looks like the new development in the harbor( the haven) will be condos instead of apartments.

Hmm that's interesting. I wonder what prompted that change. Do you have a link to the article?

On a separate note, I have heard that MGM has been buying up a lot of property around the rivertowne area. Anybody know what county/states sites would confirm sales. I also heard that there are talks of some form of transportation from NH to Oxon Hill opposite of 210. If this is true it makes me wonder what they are planning to build their.

A Vegas strip. lol Just kidding. Perhaps some sort of resort like New York New York in Vegas with shops and stuff? OR a bigger hotel? Can't see why MGM would purchase property for any other reason. At any rate, it bodes well for that area that developers are taking an interest.

Also, the harbor project next to MGM could be in motion. I saw them digging up graves earlier this week.
