I will have a master bedroom/bath available for some lucky person in March 2017 (or February, if you needed to move earlier) —we would sign a new lease in March. The bedroom is quite large, with a wonderful view, and comes with its own bathroom.
Where: Downtown Silver Spring—you are close to two movie theaters (Regal and AFI), a variety of restaurants (Thai, Pho, Burmese, etc.) three grocery stores, new state-of-the-art library, some cool pubs, shopping, Sligo Creek Parkway for biking and jogging, and the Metro, which is a ten-minute walk. There is a year-round farmers’ market downtown. Lots of buses run up and down Rte. 29-Colesville Road, which is where the building I live in is located.
My building: Colesville Towers, which has a gym, a pool in the summer, laundry room, tenants’ lounge, business center (with computers and a printer), secure entrances, a 24/7 concierge, and excellent maintenance staff. The rent is $1756 (this is total monthly rent--will likely go up a bit for the new lease), which includes utilities, except for cable (internet, HBO, SHO, Hulu, Amazon, Netflix) and water (this comes to around 40-50$/monthly). There is WIFI (included in cable), as well as in the lobby of the building. You also would get the benefit of hanging out with my two cats. Sadly, we are limited to two animals per unit. The apartment itself is spacious, with lots of natural light and a balcony off the living room. Did I mention the view?
About me: I am a liberal professional, who has worked at a public health organization in downtown DC for almost ten years. I watch a lot of television, and occasionally venture into the kitchen. Also a huge reader with a pretty decent book collection. I am LGBTQI-friendly. If you watch Fox News, we probably wouldn’t get along. We don’t necessarily need to be best friends, just respectful of each other, and able to communicate. Having said that, if you like to watch shows like Game of Thrones, other HBO programs, and The Walking Dead, I’m not averse to hanging out.
You: Mature, friendly, can be a professional, student or both. Just one person (no couples). I am not a big clean freak, but do like to keep the common areas picked up and at least give the illusion of cleanliness. You must be stable, employed, and without drama. No smoking or drugs (however, there is a balcony, so you can smoke out there). I do not drink, but have no objections to you doing so.

Below is the link to the building. You will have to copy and paste it to your browser.
