Hello all,

My husband and I are waiting for the final decision, but we should be moving to the DC area within the next few months. He will be working for the FBI and we are not sure if the transfer will be in the DC area or Quantico. He is set on living in Maryland. I wanted to know what will be the best place to live (we are going to rent first) in Maryland so that his commute is not over 30-45 mins or so. Also I would like for the area to be safe, and our rent rage is up to 1200 a month. So I look forward to your responses. We do not have any children and we are looking for something that can accomdate both of our lifestyles. Southern/Metropolitan.Thanks!

Don't quote me on this, but if he gets Quantico, I honestly don't think there are any places in MD that are 30-45 mins away with traffic, like I said I'm not sure. I'm hoping someone that lives closer to that base will answer you.

Is he going to have to drive to work or can he take the train in. The easiest commute would be to take the MARC train into DC then take the metro to either Judiciary Square (Washington Field Office of the FBI) or Chinatown (HQ).
