We are family of 3 moving into Montgomery county because of a job transfer,
what would be community recommendation to find a lease on a 2 bedroom rental appartment of a condo under 2,200 ? , we don't need to commute to DC for job, working locally in Potomac. Main thing is good or decent elementary and middle school and possibly a good walking score (not a deal breaker though). all your suggestions are appriciated

I suggest Bethesda addresses near Democracy Blvd. Use some of the apartment rental sites. Potomac itself is mostly single-family homes in the upper ranges.

The schools will be fine, and some apartments will be walkable to Montgomery mall.

This is the area Golden is talking about:
https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/7...37262850_zpid/

You could also get closer to downtown Bethesda, if you want:

Or your money will go further if you move north, e.g. by Grosvenor:

Exactly what I was recommending. The ones at Montgomery Mall are older but convenient to the good schools. The one on Tuckerman Lane is newer and nicer, but in a car dependant-area. The Tuckerman place also has a pool, which is great for a child during the summer.

Downtown Bethesda is walkable, but I am not sure it is the best place for children. It is good for singles.
