Some people had said that don't even think about going to Waldorf. Some others say that some parts of Waldorf is fine (20603). And there are not too many apartments or houses for rent available online.

I don't know who say's Waldorf is so bad. You're going to see undesireable areas almost everywhere you go. I wouldn't rule Waldorf out, there are lot's of nice areas there. The best advice I can tell you is.., when you arrive in Maryland (and if you want something settled before you plan to move - then plan a trip to tour the areas) drive through the neighborhoods at different times, morning, noon and the evening. That way you'll get a snapshot of what the neighborhoods are like at the different times of the day. It requires work, but that way you'll quickly see what areas you like. (I've talked to a lot of people and it really is a matter of opinion about location) For instance, I'd have a hard time finding a place in Clinton and Indian Head, that I'd be comfortable. But I could find plenty of locations in Waldorf. Also try Accokkeek. I didn't see anyone mention it and it's very close to Indian Head. We don't have a lot of apartments here., you may want to look for a townhome or a detached home to rent. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

As a Waldorf resident, I would say try to rent a house rather than an apartment. Do any Waldorf residents recommend any SPECIFIC apartments there? As for housing rental, subdivisions to avoid -- Bannister, Carrington, Lancaster. If you could rent a house in 20603 zipcode, it would most likely be fine. Be sure to drive around after dark as well!

Can't tell you anyting on apartments, but I can tel you to choice your moving company very, very careful...... The best price is not the best movers.... I got moving compnay online!!! They are from Florida, call Moving Out,,, well that what they do !!!! Please hire a good Company......
