I am interviewing for the U.S. Census Bureau and I am not sure if I should take the job? I have researched the area and it seems unsafe and the cost of living is high. So how much a year should I make to live comfortably? And in what area? I am moving for Saint Louis all your help is appreciated.

I am married
No kids
Nice and quiet neighborhood
Inexpensive
What is the minimum salary I should accept?

Suitland is a rather rough area but there are a few nice places near the bureau for around $1000 to $1500 a mo. Besides, the census bureau will probably have field offices around the country in spite of the fact that they have a spanking brand new building.

What part of St Louis are you coming from? lol cause that is a high crime area too. (got fam in the area). You could live in Bowie/Upper Marlboro and drive. This is a high cost of living area but many people grow professionally here in ways that you can't if you stay in the Lou.
