It looks like we have narrowed our moving choices down to the Washington, DC area. We are exploring the option of living in town. Where would you start a day care center if you were moving in town? Or, if you already live in town and know of areas with a need, what are those areas? We want to know about areas that are developing or undergoing a transformation where we can establish a small home-based day care center.

We are wondering if DC is expected to undergo the same type of transformation as NYC where there are now 30% more kids under 10 years old living in the city. This created a huge need for pre-K programs, learning centers and day care centers.

Surely, not everyone moving into the city is single and childless.
