I've had AT & T for about 8 years and never had a problem. In fact, the coverage seems to be getting better. I manage to get a reception on the majority of the metro lines which is something I couldn't have said 2-3 years ago.

Personally, my Verizon iPhone does better than my coworkers at&t iPhone when we're out and about in DC.

Conclusion from this thread: You really can't go wrong with either.

Perhaps I'm late but yeah stick with who you have. Everyone has an opinion when it comes to cell phones. I thought a post saying that Sprint rocks followed by Sprint sucks said it all.

I've had AT&T for 10 years and its fine. There's a dead zone on 66 between the 495 interchange and Glebe Road and a dead zone on George Washington Parkway. That's it. I'm sure someone will say that they've never had an issue in those areas.

Tell your daughter I said welcome to the DC area and there's nothing wrong with questioning a professor about a grade. I turned a D into an A+ after a polite two minute conversation. I didn't learn this until my senior year. Talk to professors like people and you get results.

Thank you Terrence. Appreciate it.

I'll pass along the info. regarding professors too. She has always had really good relationships with her teachers, so I hope that continues at the Univ. level.
