We're visiting and I really want to see the Arlington Cemetary, but my husband says were nuts because of the swarm that will be there tomorrow on Memorial Day.

Any thoughts? I've never been.

Thanks,

Alley

I'm sure it will be busy but go for it. If you're worried about parking, the metro station is right at the front gate.

So -- I hate to ask such a newbie question -- but does taking the Metro (which would be easy from King Street in Alexandria) mean that I'd cut some of the hassle down?

I'll have my husband and two 9-year-old boys w/ me. I'm trying to avoid melt downs from long lines.

What do you think? And thanks for your response!

Alley

Well parking at the King Street metro lot would be free on a holiday, while you would pay at the cemetary lot. In my opinion, the metro is easier than trying to fight traffic. I was just a couple of years older than your boys when I first went, I think they would enjoy it
