I rode the Metro near the same time this happened, but it was the Orange and blue lines. The wait period was decent, except there was some sort of emergency that fored everyone to take alternative trains. It was not related to this incident, but I think it was indicative of the overall lack of maintenance and quality on the Metro. That's how I felt as an out of state traveler using it. The Metro "information" people were rude as far as explaining the situation or where to go to continue the trip, and I just felt like the whole system is a disaster, although it generally seems to work.
well, I wouldn't call it rudeness really, more like an attitude of "I hate my job so I don't give a sh*t."
With a touch of "And they can't fire me anyway."
