I was trying to google this but didn't find anything conclusive. Anyways, I was wondering if there are any rules for passing a bus (like a metro bus, not a school bus?). I ask because sometimes on my way to work, there's a stretch of road that is technically one very wide lane, and cars make a 2nd informal lane to turn right all the time so they don't have to wait behind anyone going straight/turning left. The area to turn right is also where there is a metro bus stop.

Sometimes on my way to work I have to drive by that area, and the bus will stop and there's barely enough room for me to squeeze by to continue going straight. I usually have to ride the yellow line to get around the bus if not go a little over. Just wondering if there's a law on that, if passing it like I have is ok, or if I've actually been doing it wrong?

Just curious if anyone knows anything about this or if it's even worth mentioning. Thanks in advance for any input.
