Is this a neighborhood in which one should consider purchasing property or is that way too premature?

I've heard some faint chatter about the Congress Heights neighborhood. Some claim it is in the very early stages of gentrification. Makes sense, when you look at Anacostia (around MLK Blvd) and the potential for a streetcar to come soon, it will naturally expand to CHeights. I've also noticed "Luxury apartments" even in Benning road eastern portion.
