Maybe the Post will stop reporting any news that the Post Editorial Board finds personally offensive.
But the Post didn't say they would stop reporting on the Redskins. They didn't even say they would stop using the name. What you are saying is the exact opposite of what they are doing...

Wrong.
What I wrote isn't the "opposite" of anything.
I simply proposed that in the future the "news" organization may expand what it defines as "appropriate" to the whole "news" division based on the personal feelings of the Editorial Board.
Not one bit surprising from a paper who loves to preach an agenda of liberal guilt. As others have mentioned, this only affects the editorial page. The sports page will continue to use the Redskin's name in print.
Oh after 100 years, all of a sudden they have a bout of conscience. It's like the ice bucket challenge, it's the "cool" thing to do now
Exactly.
They are shocked- SHOCKED to find there is gambling (Casablanca).
Were the name so egregious, so horrific, so hateful, one would assume that a world class newspaper full of learned people, the publication that brought down Nixon, would not have taken 81 years to note this atrocity.
And limiting it to the Editorial Page is a cop out. If it so horrid, then do not mention it anywhere. How many editorials regarding the Redskins do they have left?
is Kornheiser still writing editorials for the post? If the Redskins start winning again, he'll have to break out the Redskins bandwagon again, bit it wouldn't be called the Redskins bandwagon, it'll be the Washington Football team Bandwagon which sounds not nearly as cool and a mouthful to say
I think it is mostly insensitive white people beefing about changing the name, because it does not offend them and they don't really care how the indigenous population feels about it.
or maybe it's just a classic case of "white guilt", I have to say, you don't have to feel guilty over this one, it's okay
