Hello,

Yes, this is another I-95 south question. But I'd really appreciate the advice (I posted in NOVA thread too, but thought I'd also try my luck here).

My birthday is tomorrow and my parents (in Richmond, Va) would like to come visit me in Fredericksburg for dinner (they are last minute planners, while I am not). I booked a spa day tomorrow however, and it is over at 4pm (Alexandria).

I told them that with rush hour traffic, I'd be stuck on 95 for hours (not to mention the extra craziness that is the holiday season).

So, I'm basically wondering is there any way I'm wrong about this? I moved here in Feb., so I don't have tons of 95 south experience, except for on Fridays, which is a nightmare. But I understand a weekday may be different.

They're "disappointed" and think I am making excuses. Which I am not, but I don't want to spend 4+ hours in a car, driving at night, on my b-day & a work night.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

You might be able to pull it off. Traffic doesn't get terrible until 5.
