I know there are many buses running from DC to NYC. But I have only one day for the round trip. I need to spend the daytime in NYC for some personal business, I have to arrive at NYC in the early morning(that means leaving DC at midnight), then leave NYC at later afternoon (getting back to DC at the midnight again).

Megabus runs at midnight, but there is no metro to take me to union station at midnight. I cannot drive, I would be very tired when driving back, since that's about 24 hours (leaving DC at midnight, getting back to DC at midnight again). So I have to take bus or something else.

I need a bus station with parking lot (low parking fee or free).

Which bus should I take?

You could take an Uber home from Union Station for under $15 assuming you don't live far out in the suburbs.

Where exactly are you? The only place you're getting free parking is in the suburbs. Vamoose Bus stops in Lorton, VA at the VRE Parking Lot which has free parking: Vamoose Bus.

I recently took a Peter Pan bus from DC to NYC for $19.

It's probably best to do a google search for these kinds of offers.

Vamoosebus :Lorton is great with free parking lot, but few choices on schedule. The bus doesn't run at midnight.

If MegaBus leaves at midnight, shouldn't you get to the bus station beforehand? The Metro runs until midnight so you should be fine. You should probably arrive at Union Station around 11:30 pm.
