Does anyone use SmartBenefit? I am new to this program.

When I applied for it on DOT website, why the system suggests only 20 days for 8-hour schedule? For most months, 20 days is not enough to cover. Take March 2016 for example, I expect to come in to the office for 23 days.

If I take two weeks of vacation, can I keep the SmartBenefit balance for next month? If SmartBenefit balance doesn't expire at the end of each month, then average 20 days per month is fine to me.

Thanks.

January has 19 work days, February has 20 work days, if you're counting holidays, RDOs, telework, and leaves (vacation or sick), 20 days is probably more than average for most people.

Each month, your balance expires.

I am on regular 8-hour schedule (no RDO, no teleworking). I do go to office as long as I can go.

Yes, if averagely, 20 days is fine for me, that means if the remaining balance does not expire.

As long as it expires each month, then I have to pay some fare on my own for some months.

Anyway, the main purpose of this post is to confirm, do you also use 20 days for calculation in your agency?

Thanks.

I use 21 days because my agency's form always had 21 days pre-populated in the number of days/month field.

U.S. Department of Transportation | TRANServe | Home Page

If you go with this website, it's 20 days. 21 days is better, at least there would be more than 10 dollars difference for me.

The transit benefit does expire at the end of the month. Pretty sure my agency uses 20 days too.
