Hello, everyone. New member, here.

I heard there's a wonderful botanical garden somewhere in or around DC. I hope someone could tell me where it is, and whether it's well-served by public transit. I hope to visit there later in the year, and it sounds like an attraction that's beyond the usual tourist sights on the Mall.

Thank you.

Welcome to CD.

There's the United States botanic garden - usbg.gov - it's easy by metro and directions are at their site

There's also the national arboretum - usna.usda.gov - it's doable by metro and metro us combo - they used to have a cool bonsai section and Lilly ponds. Might still.

The arboretum is one of the best kept secrets in DC.
