NYC, London and Tokyo are pretty much equivalents.

The notable thing about DC is that there is so much to do in the metro area even though it's not even a megacity.

Sheesh, can even get a good DC thread where she isn't compared to any other city. Heyzuz Christo....

Let the lady (DC) enjoy her day in the sun..

DC packs an informative punch as others said.

Okay, let's talk about DC then.

I bet there is nobody who has dined at all of the non-chain restaurants in DC proper, let alone in the whole metro area. And that is just one small aspect of this region.

Oh, I could believe that. DC seemed like it has so much to do without having the massive population that other world class cities have.

Interesting. I'd say DC is a must see for a foreigner wanting to take a trip to east coast US or for a young person to learn more about their country, and apparently I'm not alone.

Thanks! It's kind of like skiing or reading, it's a lot of fun, but you have to rest and process. And having that anticipation and creating a bucketlist for the next trip makes it better, otherwise you have this feeling that if you don't see it now, you never will. For me, that makes it feel too rushed.
