In other words.. its a waste of time talking to people who don't agree with you?
Don't get angry at me because you can't support your argument. People are allowed to have different opinions.
who said I was angry? The waste of time is playing your games instead of serious discussion.
On topic from now on - Skyscrapers will not bring down the cost of living in DC. Skyscrapers do not fit the city. Skyscrapers will not make DC a "real" city. It already is a real city. Skyscrapers = no way.

I would disagree.
Building skyscrapers should be based on practical need.. not on sentimentality of DC residents.

This is the one thing I actually agree with you on. Even though I don't believe we'll ever get skyscrapers in DC because I doubt that the height restrictions will ever be lifted.

I think the height limit will be adjusted. I don't think it will ever be completely eliminated citywide though.
So long as only specific parts of the city had them, I would love to see them in the city. But I would like to see the mall area and most of the historic urban fabric of the city remain the way it is. I think the Union Station area would be a good place for a dense skyscraper skyline.

Places like NOMA and Navy Yard along with far off portions of New York avenue, Minnesota ave, Rhode Island, upper wisconsin and Connecticut could use taller building to increase density. The reality is that we are set to run out of buildable space in less than 30 years. I would say now is the time to increase building heights a bit in the l'enfant core to about 250-300 feet and completely eliminated them outside the l'enfant core area especially within a 1/3 of a mile of a metro station.

Don't worry, I estimate a change in the height limit within the next 5 years.. 10 years max. I'm being conservative too because I actually believe it will probably happen in 2-3 years.
They should really consider including skyscrapers in DC. It would definitely have a skyline that competes with Chicago and maybe even NYC if they did
