His deputy chief of staff refused to answer repeated questions on when the test had been done, but on average, the turnaround time is 5 days. He's exposed many, even went to the gym.

He's a doctor. He, of all people, knew better.

If its true that Rand Paul didn't show any symptoms when he decided to get tested for the coronavirus, I will not attack him for not self quarantining while waiting the results.

It is irresponsible to not self-quarantine while waiting for your results, even if you're asymptomatic. He got tested because he had been exposed to others who tested positive. It is common knowledge that some people who have it feel just fine and don't have any symptoms. Rand Paul has now tested positive, which means he has indeed exposed other people to it just because he felt ok and decided not to self-quarantine. As parentologist stated, as a doctor, he should have known better.

I disagree. Dr. Fauci says he's not being tested, even though he's been in regular contact with President Trump, who was in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus (he was saying this before President Trump got tested). If Dr. Fauci decided to get tested when President Trump got tested, I wouldn't expect him to self quarantine. President Trump didn't self-quarantine (nor did Mike Pence), and I can't say that I blame them.
