HOV lanes seem a good concept in theory , but bad in reality . Here are my chief complaints:
1) Nobody is going to sacrifice personal freedom to save a few cents on gas and commute time by carpooling
2) The lanes are confusing with tolls, complex rules, few exits and entries. So only seasoned commuters will use them.
3) Often they are only one lane which means you will always be tailgated by someone who thinks you drive too slow
4) Hard to enforce how many people are actually in the car
Anyway to send this feedback to the folks who maintain the beltway? No idea who to contact about that.

Sorry, but...what's so confusing about the two lanes to the left are for EZPass/toll, and the rest to the right are general purpose? Am I missing something?

For your last, at one time they were really on the lookout for people using their sex dolls in order to use the HOV lanes. That was when they first opened.

Not sure what's confusing- there's well marked entrances / exits and signs that literally say how much it will cost to a variety of points. And where are they only one lane other than the merge where they end?
