Hi! We are about to move to DC, the Chevy Chase/ Barnaby Woods area. I have enrolled my daughter at preschool about 3 miles down Nevada Ave at Methodist Memorial preschool. What is the traffic on Nevada at about 9am. Is this practical?

Nebraska is packed with cars. People use that as a shortcut to 16th st/georgia ave Silver Spring/Beltway or trying to get to American University. But Traffic is not all that bad. I use it to save time and cross the city. Will be alot of school buses though. My advice is just drive it and see for yourself at the time your daughter is expected at school.....

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I have to pay the tuition before I can get there to do a test drive. We are moving to DC from NJ this summer....

trafficland.com has cameras at Nebraska and Wisconsin Aves, and at Nebraska and Connecticut Aves. Take a peak some morning. That ought to give you at least a clue...
