Hello All,
I new to DC and found an apartment around Van Ness. It is a 475 square feet studio, cost about $1400. Do you think this is a reasonable deal or I should keep searching?
Thanks
I think it all depends on what the amenities are. Are all utilities included? Central air & heat? Is their a front desk in the building or is the entrance un-manned? On-site maintenance? Is there on-site laundry and are the facilities decent and reasonably priced? What condition is the apartment in? Hardwood floors or carpet? What floor is the unit on?
All things considered I guess I'd call it reasonable although not necessarily a 'good' deal. You could probably get something for 100-150 less if you were willing to put in the time to look.
