What do people know about this school?

Wondering about working there rather than attending.

Thanks

I noticied that nobody has responded, so I guess I'll tell you my impressions. It seems to me that SMU is more highly regarded locally than it is state wide. I guess I dont really know what else to say, other than it is a small private university. Several locals attend the school; both adult grad students and students fresh out of high school. I would say that the university's location is a plus as Olympia is a desirable area to live and raise kids.

I've heard that it's very liberal...strangely liberal. But maybe others can correct me if I'm wrong.

The Evergreen State University (in Olympia) has a reputation for being very liberal, but I have never heard anything about SMU being liberal.

Oh that's right. I was thinking of the wrong college. I had a friend that went to St. Martins and got an engineering degree. It seemed that he really liked it.
