Just curious, as I couldn't find anything online about it. The wife and I went for a hike on the mountain loop highway to the Big Four Ice Caves this past Saturday, and maybe a 3rd of the way up the trail we were held up briefly as a crew of about 5 or 6 people was there with cameras, microphones, and a little wagon with more recording equipment as it appeared they were filming a couple who was a bit further down the trail- they were getting instruction on when to start walking towards the camera and begin some dialogue. When we walked past everyone one of the women who also had a headset on was holding a binder that appeared to have some kind of screenplay or script or something in it.

Just curious if anyone knows if there is something big being filmed in the area. It probably was just some local college production or something like that, but there was a big enough crew that I kind of wondered if it was something bigger.

Don't have any answer to this, but it still makes me angry that we lost out to Canada when Hollywood came a knocking back in the 1990's when they were looking to expand their studios up here. Those damn sparkly vampires (and the countless movies and TV shows filmed up there) should of been filmed here and we should be getting the jobs and tourism dollars that goes along with that.

I agree! It makes my wife so mad, she says movies or shows shouldn't be allowed to "take place" in Seattle or Washington if not actually filmed here. lol Obviously that's not possible, but I agree with her frustration over that. I've seen several movies where people are supposedly hanging out on the Seattle waterfront while you see the obvious Vancouver skyline across the water. So annoying!

Agreed. Another example - that terrible remake of "Red Dawn" from last year was supposed to be set in Spokane, but was filmed somewhere in Michigan. Nothing about the set had anything to do with Spokane, except the little patches on the LEO's uniforms had a fake "City of Spokane" logo...

Default Has filming for a show or movie been going on recently in the mountain loop highway area?

A TV station was filming the years anniversary of when the girl was killed by falling ice at the ice caves.
The couple being filmed were her parents who are campaigning for better warning signs of the danger.
