Could anyone please tell me the expected average commute from a neighborhood such as Shoreline to downtown Tacoma?
Cheers folks
Nick

OUCH - you have to pass through Downtown traffic for that

I'd say at least an hour (if not more on a bad day)

You might investigate Sound Transit's "Sounder" train. You could drive north to Edmonds (10 minutes) and get on the Sounder which goes to downtown Seattle and on to Tacoma. I've never done it.

It's 45 miles from Shoreline to Tacoma, so it would be the better part of an hour with minimal traffic. I'd count on at least 90 minutes and sometimes over two hours depending upon what's happening on a given day. Personally, there isn't enough money in the world to make me do that.

Two and one-half hours, each way, if you're driving without the express lanes, during normal 6am-9am and 3pm-7pm traffic. Did it for years. Won't do it anymore.

Is this link illegal to display? Anyway, it's the source someone gave me earlier with commute times. And I check them everyday. And some of them are quite horrifying. 108 mins! Great traffic cameras too.
