Planning on taking my almost 80 year old Mom on a trip this month to see Leavenworth and Rainier National Park... she has always wanted to go and is looking forward to it...

Not sure about the others but in Olympia you can walk the boardwalk at Percival Landing and eat outdoors (or indoors) at Oyster House, Hearthfire Grill, Budd Bay Cafe, or Anthony's Homeport. Great view of the sound and Olympics.

Lake Wenatchee is pretty even for a brief stop / snack. Take your time in Leavenworth. Definitely go up to Paradise; Longmire is nothing special in good weather.
Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad, Elbe, Washington USA might be an interesting diversion if you have time. Besides the Olympia waterfront, you could stop for a few minutes in the tiny Japanese Garden downtown.

If you return from Leavenworth via highway 97, it's a beautiful drive and many fruit stands along the way. Then cross I90 on 97/82 to Yakima, then 12 into Rainier the back way. Most people see it from the front but not the back and it's spectacular. She might also enjoy Northwest Trek in Eatonville on the way back to Seattle, and maybe the glass museum in Tacoma.

We did follow this route and approached the park through White Pass... didn't know about the very long reservoir lake on the route to White Pass... looked like a nice place to camp...
Made a quick visit to the Glass Museum by accident... was leaving the car museum and happened upon the glass museum and learned it was celebrating it's 10th anniversary... didn't have a lot of time... did enjoy seeing the master glass maker "Salvatore" (sp) in action...
