Central Washington has always been ahead of the Puget Sound area in public service and particularly in consumer services. The only reason people THINK Seattle and area is high tech is because Microsoft and Amazon are located there.
Big business is interested in profit. The public ownership in central Washington is focused on providing services to the OWNERS (county residents).
It is a right-wing Republican thing.....you guys in Seattle wouldn't understand if you tried.
