Hello, Thanks for taking the time to at least look me over.

In any case, I'm going to be purchasing a used 1986 Chevy s-10 pickup from a co-worker, Its in a used decent condition. One of the windows doesn't want to stay up and a door doesn't lock, as well it may leak oil. (thats just for reference for the following) He's Charging me $600.00 (usd) Obviously I'm going to have to go and transfer over the title. Now I've never done so before so i was curious what kind of fee's the DMV is going to charge me and what amounts i should be ready for, If any.

I know they love to stick it to you when ever possible. Especially with smog testing, and licensing fee's .

I try'd checking the internet for this information but theres nothing really definitive, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help.

It will most likely be under $100 total for one that old, be sure to bring a bill of sale with the purchase price so they can calculate the sales tax. When I paid $950 for a beater 1997 it was about $75 plus $15 for the smog test two years ago. I would suggest that you offer to pay for the smog test first, then do not complete the sale unless it passes. otherwise you will be stuck with the maximum $150 repairs to apply for a waiver.
