She is taking the lead on the transportation issue.

First she came out with the long overdue mandate for the hideous viaduct
to come down befoe it falls down (yaaaay, what an eye sore), and
now she is going to toll 520 which should have been down a long time ago.

Good job Governor!

If she keeps this up, maybe she'll actually get elected next time!
Sorry...couldn't resist. She does seem to be taking some good steps for transportation, though I haven't followed it that closely.

We must be getting close to the next election. Now she can say she actually did something on the issue.

Well also, she has been busy on many other important agenda items for the state.
Remember, she serves the whole state, not just the Seattle area, even though Seattle elects the politicians.

really? That is not what I've heard from farmers, business owners, and state employees in the 90% of the state that votes / employs / pays taxes... but get no representation, especially at election time. Remember, many of us don't even get SEA or Olympia news, our's comes from OR, and seldom if ever hear anything from north side of Columbia River. I do vote based an the voting records and Service of the elected, which is why Christine didn't get elected anywhere outside of the sound area. We are all still reeling (and paying dearly) from her previous (ad)ventures in government. Maybe as an employee, and even better if renting would she qualify as vote-worthy. But as an business owner, employer, and property owner ... ... I don't think so... (as we send in our January WA Business tax...)

Wow, if you have talked to 90% of all those people, you should be governor!

Don't blame Gov. Gregoire for disasterous federal policies.

ummm, I don't see where janb said that he/she "talked" to 90% of farmers, business owners, and state employees. Stated was the he/she "heard" from the 90% of the state that votes, employs or pays taxes but get no representation. The number of people heard from could have been a very minute number but the point was that they are FROM 90% of a particular area.

And nowhere did I interpret from what janb wrote that he/she was blaming the Governor for any federal policies.

The problems the people she mentioned are having are the result of federal policies, so implying that Gov. Gregoire had anything to do with it is incorrect.
