I just read a post about this in the Dogs forum, if anyone knows how to cross-post in this forum, please do. In the meantime, this sweet dog, who dug her way out of the grave she was buried in & has been named Theia, is recovering in a foster home. A GoFundMe account has been set up for her veterinary bills. I would adopt het myself if circumstances allowed.

Underwhelming, but typical Washington passive-aggressiveness...

I read this yesterday but I'm busy at work and have heard nothing about this story. Poor thing, hoping for her to make a good recovery and for her to get a happy home to be in. Sounds like someone in or near my hometown is a potential mass murderer.

The dog has been adopted by a Moses Lake woman and the WSU vet students are doing the surgery...or practicing how it should be done with the help of their teacher (s)...you get the point. A farmer hit the dog and bashed it in the head with a hammer to try and put it out of it's misery, then buried the dog. She dug herself out of her grave and was discovered very dirty and in bad shape.

The woman set up a gofundme account and the last time I checked she had received $16,000. She needed $9,000 alone for the dog's surgery. Nice to hear the outcome of this story and bless her heart for caring enough to adopt this poor baby into her home and nurse her back to good health.

Wazzu has a great vet school. If that dog can be brought back to health, the Cougs can do it.

Well, that's good news! It had sounded like maybe the poor dog had been part of a pitbull fighting ring, which is horrible...

The people that run those dogfighting rings are doomed to live a nasty, terrible life out and then meet a loathesome fate come judgement time. I truly believe this is true and seriously can't believe anyone could treat a canine so horribly like that. Don't even get me started on the Asian culture and the fact that they eat cats and dogs.

We won't go there...unless someone chooses to. Also the way American food processors treat cows, pigs and chickens is enough to make me heave my breakfast all over my keyboard.
