Town recommendations​ (where to, green)

(Skamania County WA has the ONLY USA Bigfoot ordinance)

SWWA is conservative, especially rural.
There are a lot of blue collar jobs here.

I will have to research all the towns mentioned more. I have no internet so I can only use my phone so it's time consuming.

I've quit my job prematurely and am considering a road trip through Oregon and Washington as early as next week. Never been to either state.

That may depend on local mgmt. I wouldn't write it off entirely, especially since in some towns w/good job prospects for you (Bremerton), it may be the only 24-hr. option.

You won't see very much of Bigfoot in the Tri-cities. Not much in the way of forested areas to hide in.

Also, not very green.

I don't know if they have a 24-hr gym but they have a rec center, and it might be tolerable politically. The surroundings are beautiful, so close to Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest lands.

You can't have everything. It is conservative, affordable, and has 24-hour fitness centers. Not that far from the Cascades and the Columbia Gorge to the west, and the Blue Mountains to the east.

OP, thought of a couple more possibilities - the Kelso/Longview area south of Chehalis/Centralia, and Washougal, east of Vancouver, WA.

What these areas all have in common is that they are shipping ports, with warehouses and light industry, and definitely more conservative than the large port cities like Portland, Olympia, and Seattle/Tacoma. Washougal has a good-sized paper mill.

There's a heavy military presence on the Kitsap Peninsula, most notably the Bremerton area. And Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island.
