When I say
"OPEN" I mean legally
"OPEN" for the species you are fishing. Which would be opposite of
"CLOSED" for the species you would like to hunt/harvest/fish.

Someone probably already mentioned this--don't have enough time to read through thread--but Joemma Beach is great for bottom fishing. I caught over a dozen fish bottom fishing there in 90 minutes. They're only sculpin though. But kids love it. Every time I go there, I see little ones having fun, so if you have kids that's good.
