Not that I'm complaining but it sure seems like it since I've lived here. Also this is interesting:

Hopefully that rain happens next week...anything to suppress wildfires is welcome.

Fairly normal summer so far. So are the hot ones. We have both kinds!

Sometimes on alternating weeks.

This is like the normal summers I remember all my life here, mild and with a bit of rain. The last few years with all the sunshine and little to no rain doesn't seem normal to me. This does.

Summer starts Jul 5th in PNW we_tside, so you can wear coats and raingear to 4th of July celebrations.

We will see what tomorrow brings.
Tho cool and wet (at the moment)...I am preparing for wildfire threat.

Portland has not seen significant rain on the Fourth since 1998. 21 years ago.

Very normal. There have been years of cool, overcast summers. We spent a few July 4ths bundled in winter coats and hats watching the fireworks. Summers vary. I agree- the hot ones felt less normal.

Same on the east side.
Never plan an outdoor June wedding here. Wait till after the 4th of July.

So did Western PNW. Warm spring all over the region this year. It’s California that got the very cool spring this year.

Flew over CA today and was visiting there last week... it is still GREEN in some areas. (Rare for July 4)
Nice growth for wildfire danger.
