There were rumblings that he was looking for a new job, and Leach found one, confirmed today, at Mississippi State. (The fans there seem to be thrilled with this hire, and he should be great with a below average SEC team).

I think Leach had probably worn out his welcome at WSU, though he had a good tenure there. His last season was less than ideal, 6-7 overall, 5th in Pac-12 North, a loss to rival UW.

Some interesting names are coming up. Bryan Harsin, (Boise State head coach), and Steve Sarkasian (Alabama O.C., and former UW head coach). The latter would be a longshot IMO.

He won't last long in Starkville, if he doesn't develop a defense. Toughest division in college football.
Didn't have to in the PAC12.

Nick Rolovich is the new WSU head coach from the University of Hawaii. 3 million for 5 years is what's being said.

Yep and I hear he has a similar odd personality like Leach. I guess that is what it takes in Pullman.

Coach "Rolo" really turned the UH Program around from 4 wins a year the previous 4 years before he came with 7 wins the next 3 years and his best year this year with 11 wins. He took the Warriors to 3 Hawaii Bowl games in his 4 years...
Players who were with the team the previous years before he came and then played for Rolo, said he really turned the locker room from a cliquish situation to a "family like" situation...
The players also said that he is very community oriented.... that he encourages his players to become involved in the community to give back ....
Not sure about the "odd" personality trait... I never saw it in him while in Hawaii.... He's not a really expressive guy... kind of like the June Jones type of personality... low key...
