I am looking for a place to buy, but I seem to recall someone saying that there are a lot of homeless people in Decatur Woods park.

A search on facebook among the local community groups I belong to show some graffiti from recent BLM type activity, but no mention of homeless per se.

Google search has a Yelp comment from 2017 said there were nearby homeless who used the bathroom.

Are you in the area? I would take a drive by and look. Most of the homeless camps are not actually in parks, they're in other vacant woods and greenbelts. The woods along Deschutes Parkway and the railroad right-of-way and green belt just a few blocks away from that park, HAVE been the site of a lot of homeless encampments. I would not be surprised if they walk up to that park to use the bathroom.

I've never seen any when I've gone there, but the last time I visited it was last fall and things may have changed since. But if they do hang out there, it would probably only be during the day because there's not enough cover for stealth-camping. If you take a look at the satellite view of the park you'll see what I'm talking about.

If you want to see where some of the bigger homeless camps are located, zoom out and look for larger wooded areas. The camps get shifted around when the city clears a camp, but strip of green that runs along Capitol Lake and up Percival Creek is one of the biggest ones in the Olympia area.
