Hi all, let me cheer YEEEEEHAAAA! We bought our very first home in tacoma, and sadly i wont be able to move with my gf from Indiana to the new home. So she will be doing IT all by herself. I was wondering what should you do, on the first day in the new place. So that i could suggest that to her to cheer her up. Appreciate all your input.

Look on the Seattle visitors bureau for their calendar of events. There are about 25 pages of places to go and see and art museums etc. Let her pick out what she likes.

Go to the Point Defiance Park and Zoo and Aquarium. Great views, great walking/running trails, decent zoo, good aquarium, gorgeous gardens, and a nice beach.

I would also check out Northwest Trek. Get an annual memebership and you visit both Point Defiance & Northwest Trek. Check out the Gig Harbor water front, Poulsbo and Port Townsend.
