Check google or craigslist for furnished apartments, these will usually have month-to-month rentals.

I know someone who rents fully furnished and equipped apartments and homes on a month to month basis in Olympia. Is that too far of a drive for you?

There is an Extended StayAmerica by the Tacoma Mall as well as one in Fife. There is also this place: Tacoma hotels - Corporate Suites Inc. - Your alternative to hotels and motels in the Tacoma - McChord AFB - Fort Lewis - Washington - area. . There are some apartments (The Metropolitan) that have executive/corporate suites that can be rented. They are nicer but more expensive.
