I'm curious about what NYC's record high minimum, we had 84F & 85F (29-30 C) lows a couple of times last Summer and no records were broken. This happens almost every year (it even happened in 2009 which was abnormally cool in the first half).

I read somewhere that it was 92F (33.3 C) but I want to know for sure. It sounds crazy but I wouldn't be surprised since we always have lows in the 80's.

I'm not sure where you saw 84 & 85°F lows last summer. The record looks like 84°F (for Central Park).

LaGuardia Airport reached 84°F one night last summer. Its record is 86°f.

I don't remember and I lost everything on the old computer. I think I was using Weather Bug since it has a station a quarter of a mile from me.

That seems odd since Central Park is almost always cooler than everywhere in the vicinity since it's a huge park, why is it's "official record" so close to LGA's. Idk.

Highest I saw for Central Park last summer is 81 F. This past summer there were three nights that failed to drop below 80 F. I'm sure there's some unofficial recordings that report higher temperatures though.

I think you might be talking about July 6 and 7th this past summer when the lows in NYC (CP) were 80 F and 81 F (the highs were 100 and 103 on those days). The heat index as I remember was near 90 F at midnight up and down the East Coast (NYC, DC, Richmond…etc) on those nights (July 6th and 7th). In fact, on only 4 nights in July 2010, did the daily low fall to less than 70 F in NYC. I blogged about it too, and saved it. I'll see if I can find it.
