well, maybe cause you are used to hotter weather. Im telling you, i think this is too much and you must add to the temperature, the humidity (thats always so high) and the fact that is a gigantic city packed with people only makes it hotter than the temperature says. Im just telling you its not pleasant, and just cause in southern US you get hotter summers, theres no way you can call this weather "cool". Actually, the word "cool" and "buenos aires summer" shouldnt even be in the same sentence.

I dont think its what we are used to
I live in the Chicago area and cant stand the heat and muggy days
you would think after 43 years here on earth i would be used to them by now - but i still dont like them.........

I think we all need a balance of weather not the extremes that we experience.

example 95 today and then a month ago people had gloves on

I personally have had enough summer now and am counting the days down till the cool weather patterns come back...
Cant stand the dog days of June!
95 yuk!
give me back a high of 49 and i am happy

I live in Portugal and what can I say, I am so sick of the sunshine. We have had a wet, rainy winter and the summer has not really even started yet. Still, whenever there are clouds upon the sky these days I am happy, hoping there will be rain again and maybe even a thunderstorm.
A couple of sunny days in a row feels like death to me, it makes my mind go in boredom mode somehow
I also have the impression that people are more superficial and emotionally distant in the summer, hard to describe that feeling. Maybe this is also what's behind the term 'summer love', easy come easy go so to speak

I am with you on this...
Not a fan of pouring down rain but this heat and glaring sunshine give me a royal headache.

its like poinson to myself while others are happy ...
all i do is turn up the ac in the house and contribute to the energy issues facing the nation when this weather hits

Now I concur that your weather is rather miserable. I can't imagine having 96 heat on Christmas day.

let me guess, you live in vancouver so you probably don't know what "hot" weather is like . I dare you live in Phoenix from july to august or any tropical places with no air conditioning, you'll instantly regret having desired for so called hot weather

That's normal in the southern hemisphere. But even in, say, Miami Christmas is somewhat odd when you are used to snow

Because no one ever travels or moves, right? You cannot assume that someone has never lived in a certain place because of their current location.

Actually, I DO know what hot weather is like. I spent a year living in Southern China which is just as hot and humid in the summer months as somewhere like Miami and while I had A/C at home, I didn't use it much and I spent a lot of time outdoors hiking around local parks through hilly terrain. I really loved the weather there. In fact that was really the ONLY thing I loved about living in Southern China. I hated everything else as far as every day living was concerned and that was what brought me back to Canada. I really do miss the weather there and hope one day I can move to somewhere hot and humid again
