Is it true rats like coco palms? What rodents and pests like queen or Royal palms?

Yep nearly every rat I've seen here has come out of a coconut palm and not to mention roaches as well.

Prairie/grassland with sparse trees. I like wide open spaces and a grove/a few trees here and there is enough to get a sense of the changing seasons.

I agree. It seems so many people on here like dense, lush forests so we're definitely a minority. It's nice to know someone else also likes wide open prairies.

yeah also a much better landscape to watch weather events like storms or interesting clouds, sunsets and so on.

I'm not really keen on dense forests either. I like the rolling English landscape, with some patches of woodland here and there instead of an endless sea of trees (particularly pines/conifers).

I like both wide open spaces and dense vegetation, I would like to live in an area with plenty of both. From what I've seen, the eastern Midwest (OH/IN/MI) sees that a lot.
