All shots of Anini Beach on the North Shore - except for one shot of Waimea Canyon on the West Side of the island (I think you can figure out which one)

Oh yea, I could settle into that type of winter pretty easily myself. Where were those pics taken? I'm not familiar with the description you gave.
Anini Beach is a reef-protected lagoon on the North Shore of the island of Kauai very near the Princeville resort area. While most areas of the North Shore have wild waves during the winter months, Anini is the one place that's almost alway calm and many folks (myself included) consider it to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. In fact, many famous folks have owned homes along it's shores (Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise/Nicole Kidman to name a couple).
Waimea Canyon is a large canyon system on the west side of Kauai and is often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific". Very beautiful indeed. It's probably the most famous landmark on the island and one of the most famous in the state of Hawaii.
Great photographs Steve.
We had some snow here in eastern Kansas, probably about an inch, but most of it has melted away. Temps are supposed to be in the 40-50 range this week, so hopefully we'll see lots of that nice sunshine here.
Of course, in Kansas, things change weatherwise overnight.

Thanks! We got about 8" here on Saturday, some of it has melted, but not much. Temps are supposed to be in the 40s as well, so that means the white Christmas I was hoping for probably wont happen.
Here are a few from about 15 minutes ago. The last one is what happens when you have them out for a while in the cold temperature then a nice hot Cocoa when they get inside.
