Couple more reports of snow on October 1st, 2011,...

Official measurement of 4" of snow on Snowshoe mountain in West Virginia

First flakes of snow down to 2500' in the Blue Ridge of Virginia on the NC border.

Snow fell heavily above 4500' with accumulation being reported.

Grayson Highlands State Park in Southwest Virginia

Cherry Grove, WV elevation 2200'

NW of Clearfield,PA. Elevation of the webcam is only 2000'

Light flurries in eastern Kentucky

IF WE DO SEE ACCUMS THERE...THIS WOULD BE THE EARLIEST ON RECORD
FOR /ACCUMULATING SNOW/ IN PLACES SUCH AS LAUREL SUMMIT...AND
MOUNT DAVIS. THE PREVIOUS FIRST DATE FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW AT
THESE 2 HIGH ELEVATION LOCATIONS IS OCT 9TH.
