Raoul Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Warm enough for stunted coconuts...

A solid B for me.

B or B-, depending on how many rainy days. If its concentrated in strong showers over fewer days, then B, but with those cool temps and high rainfall I'm wondering if it's a bit drizzly?

GREAT find by the way; never heard of the place.

Looks a lot like this place, plus a degree and some rain:

An A based on temperatures. Almost perfect. Maybe a little to humid at night in the warmest months. Obviously i would need to view sunshine stats to make a fully informed judgement though.

About C+. Would prefer a much lower rainfall. Temperatures pleasantly equable though. Sunhsine mean to date (from 1940) is only about 2025, though the equipment has been sited where hills cut out a significant amount of measurable sunshine. Mean sunshine would probably be about 2150-2200 in a more open area. Similar to Norfolk, though Norfolk is definitely sunnier.

B+ for sure... looks like a great climate
I wonder why it's uninhabited... strange.

Small, steep terrain in parts and volcanically unstable.

Can't be any more steep and volcanically unstable than Hawaii and look how many people live there.

It's only 11 square miles though, including offshore mini-islands.

C

Very generous considering my climate preferences. Summers and winters are too warm, but not unbearable. High rainfall and cloudiness brings the grade up.
