And of course now that it's nighttime, the temperatures have dropped further since my last post...
It's now -30°C (-21°F) with a windchill of -38°C (-36°F), with a forecast low of -32°C (-26°F) for tonight... Regina, just a couple hundred kilometers to the south, had a windchill of -44 this afternoon.

Its nice to have a subzero winter but i dont think i could have -20c half the winter.
I certainly do get tired of it, but at the same time I've grown up in this climate and am used to long periods of very cold weather. I don't necessarily like it most of the time, but I can tolerate it. Also, these recent temperatures are below average, normally it's in the -10s, and is supposed to go back around average by this weekend, we just happen to be in a bit of a cold spell right now. It's generally after the New Year that it starts to get really tiresome. The worst is in spring when you get a taste of warm weather and think that the cold and snow is finally over for the season, only to get hit with a cold spell again (in mid-April 2008 we had a week of 15 degree temps followed immediately by a blizzard... that was really annoying).
Got to a blistering 22C in the city (despite the 26C forecast), but felt alot warmer here where I am. Closest official station actually reached 26C (after a frigid 8.5C night WtF)
