You have probably become so accustomed to the extreme heat that you have that everything feels cold to you. That's one of the big problems that I have. I can get so comfy with summer and then BAM~autumn closes in on me. I would also prefer 100 degrees to zero any day.
Given the choice, I would choose 100 F everyday,
especially if the only other choice was a northern climate.
You actually use A/C in your car elfyum?
Somedays I like my car's cabin temp into the low 100's F.
Sometimes it's nice when the steering wheel's so hot it "tingles."
I like to garden and sauna-like heat will cook, then kill most plants.
Maybe on vacation it might be nice to experience though.
100 F with a muggy heat index of 115 F most plants can handle as long as they stay watered or rained on;
only negative people will sweat-by-the-pint. But as they're oozing, they can still enjoy their garden.
(if they are willing to )
Cold Canadian I can not beliee that you like temperatures that hot. I can not comprehend it. Thank goodness I am moving to a cooler climate where I will not have to deal with HARDLY ANY days of temperatures above 90F in the summer.

HA I would choose 0F everyday over 100F I do not function well when the heat and humidity are overwhelming outside. When the cold air comes I feel much more alert, active, and full of energy. Hot and humid weather just makes me not want to do anything.

I feel alert in cold and cool weather too, but also excessively irritable, sometimes numb, often hurting.
Hot and humid weather can make me sweat, but sweating does not hurt.
I feel oily, but usually that's it. Almost never drained of energy. Usually it has no impact on my energy levels.
This can either relax me or make me want to be active, to make up for time lost when I was not warm.
For water sports, it is actually ideal.
Canadian - let me ask you this, would you prefer every day be 100 above every day being 80?
No that would be a little stupid; watering use high, A/C bill high.
BUT, to live in Canada, the options are:
places that don't typically reach or pass 70 F:
1. at least 6-7 months a year
2. at least 8-9 months a year
3. practically never
AND
places that don't typically reach or pass 50F:
1. 2-3 months a year
2. 4-5 months a year
3. 6-8 months a year
4. Summers are around 50 F (Arctic)
My reasoning is that we feel like we're stuck in cold-climates.
Almost every place not cold is politically scary or not open to us easily relocating.
So, that's where I got the idea "Canada or just one other place like .... "
Boy I can't take the heat, I'd rather have cold. At least when it's cold, you can put on layers and get warm. But when it's hot, there's just so much you can take off before you get arrested.
I would love to see the swans.
I've only been in your state a couple times, both of them in summer.
I've heard of ice fog but never seen it.
I think I would have a tough time in your climate.
But you might have a tough time in mine.
I love anyplace with palm trees and that includes Florida. Anyplace that has palm trees can't give you frostbite!

I've heard people say that here too.
I'm the opposite, when it's severely cold, no amount of layers can fix it.
However when it's in the 100's F, pass me a cold drink and I'm good to go.
This just proves that man was meant to live in mild climates with light seasons. At least that's the vibe everyone on the forum gives off, a good one I might add.
