Singapore for the higher rainfall I guess. The chance of temps in the 50s every 20 years in Bangkok isn't really worth it IMO.

That's definitely not true. Singapore averages 168 thunderstorm days per year, and they can be very intense.

I stand corrected!

However I still choose Bangkok for having a dry season and more intense temperatures. Singapore is cloudy and wet year round, Bangkok is sunny, hot and humid from November-May

Both are good but I pick Bangkok for having a dry season in winter and for more sunshine.

In a tropical locale, (and most places, for that matter) the less sun and more rain the better IMO, so Singapore.

I see that we have similar criteria for evaluate tropical climates (probably is a common thing between cold and rain lovers I think).

I agree with both of you. The more rain the better when it comes to tropical climates. Still, no tropical climate will receive anything higher than an F+ from me.

No I'm actually very "generous" in valuing Tropical Climates considering that I can give to a "perfect" Tropical Climate even a D-, like Hilo:

Singapore, Bangkok is oppressive! Bangkok is summer year round, and oppressive one! Singapore on the other hand, though hot and humid year round, it’s temperatures are not bad at all.

I would have picked Bangkok with the dry season, but it is hell year round!
