It also has better storms. I went in September last year and the humidity was epic along with the daily storms in the evening. I've heard that Singapore doesn't get storms as often..
That's definitely not true. Singapore averages 168 thunderstorm days per year, and they can be very intense.
However I still choose Bangkok for having a dry season and more intense temperatures. Singapore is cloudy and wet year round, Bangkok is sunny, hot and humid from November-May
In a tropical locale, (and most places, for that matter) the less sun and more rain the better IMO, so Singapore.

Singapore, Bangkok is oppressive! Bangkok is summer year round, and oppressive one! Singapore on the other hand, though hot and humid year round, it’s temperatures are not bad at all.
I would have picked Bangkok with the dry season, but it is hell year round!
