My house in OKC received only .81 inches of rain last month so the yard is suffering now. The long term drought is gone but in the short term we need rain badly. Of course, back on September 10th the airport got over 6 inches of rain, therefore the news stations were remarking on what a "wet" September it was, psh!

Jammie, Why do you keep counting the windchill? It has nothing to do with vehicles, water, or anything else. Windchill is only how it "Feels" on bare skin. Have you been running around outside naked again?

Yesterday our high was 71~our average is 69 so we're still doing ok. Our record high for yesterday was 93 and that was set in 1910. At least today it's supposed to be 81. Just don't like the chilly mornings though.
Jammie, this is the best I can do tonight. Use it quick because it'll go out before morning.

SHHHHHH, don't tell everybody. It's cause the windchill makes me feel awful. Winds bother my aches and pain.

AWWW, thanks for the warmth, but tonight it's ok here. I think we hit the 80s today. (Me doing a happy dance)

OK, I just checked and our high yesterday was 83. It was nice except our winds were high~27 mph. gusting to 37 mph. BUT at least it was warm.

Our record high for yesterday was 96 set back in 1938.

LOL, yeah, well, I told you it's been a strange year.

And we're expected to get more snow now Friday night and Saturday, with the first freeze of the season coming Saturday or Sunday night! Yet it reached 79 degrees yesterday. Go figure.

upper 80s today in eastern Kansas. It has been extremely warm lately, and I am wishing for some cooler weather soon. I have a bad feeling that the winter is going to be very mild again.

here in north Mississippi;

Current
Conditions
74°
Wind Calm
Humidity 99%
Barometer 29.99
Since Midnight
High Temp. 89°
Low Temp. 72 °
Rainfall 00.00 in.

EARLY OCTOBER HEAT CONTINUES......
With a mixture of clouds and sunshine most highs again today rose into the mid to upper 80's. These readings are anywhere from 6-10 degrees above the normal for this time of the month. Scattered showers and thunderstorms popped up during the afternoon but nearly all of the activity was limited to counties along and south of highyway 82. A week area of low pressure located south of Morgan City, Louisiana will continue moving west-northwest along the northern gulf. This should continue to provide us with at least some moisture on Friday. As a result widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue in the forecast. The weekend looks dry and very warm with highs near or slightly above 90 degrees. Similar conditions are expected for Columbus Day. A cool front will approach the region on Tuesday and this will provide us with a chance for rain. Somewhat drier and cooler weather should return for the remainder of the week.
