This Bay area climate, which is Csb in the Koeppen climate classification (oft-described as Warm Summer Mediterranean) is a mild coastal California climate, with even milder summers and winters than nearby San Francisco. I give this one a solid C for its good, comfortable summers (even if the nights are a bit warm) and lack of any sort of a winter (which lowers the grade). I'd prefer to live here than in Downtown San Francisco with its warmer summers.
A bit of trivia: This was an oft-mentioned location in Star Trek: Enterprise, in which San Francisco is the site of Starfleet Headquarters. The Vulcan compound was located here, and for the Vulcans living there it must have been quite a change from the hot, arid climate of their homeworld .
C+ ... never warm enough, but rarely offensively cold. In terms of actually living there, though, B+, because hot weather is a very short trip away come summer.
C/C-, assuming it's a lot cloudier than eastern San Francisco.
