WOW! Hobart has good summer days and bad summer days as well! Sochi seems too hot in the summer, but at least it gets some taste of a winter.
I'll go with Hobart, because extreme heat waves (above 32 °C) are short-lasting and the temperatures are usually comfortable in the other oceanic days. Sochi, on the other hand, has a consistently hot summer, without an oceanic cool off like Hobart, and it gets above 32 °C too! But Sochi has some wintery conditions every year, unlike Hobart. Sunshine hours are similar and both are my ideal.
But I'll have to go with the more comfortable one, so... Hobart!
Hobart! One of the best climates on the planet! If you increased the sunshine hours by about 300-400 hours then it'd be the best hands down ... Sochi isn't bad it's just a little too tropical like with the warmth and humidity in the summer and it's just too wet for the length of the year. I just don't see how Sochi is so much better than Hobart? Am I looking at different stats? It's not bad at all just... LOL at calling Hobart's summers subarctic by the way...
Both are horrible and very oceanic (Sochi is a warmer oceanic climate, not really Cfa to me).
I'd go with Hobart for fewer rainy days and less humid summers. Despite being 100 hours less sunnier than Sochi (which isn't that much), Hobart still has far more sunshine hours in winters though - which is a plus.

You don't seem to grasp what a Cfb/Oceanic climate is exactly, and how it differs from Cfa and Mediterranean climates.
The key difference is the year round continuation of weather systems from the polar front, with the effect of making Cfb climates considerably cooler in summer than Cfa or Mediterranean climates.
Sochi, with summers 2-3 C warmer than coastal Sydney [despite being 9 degrees of latitude further from the equator than Sydney), doesn't seem like a climate with polar influenced summers.
My climate's mid summer average minimum, is colder than Sochi's record mid summer low - that is the difference between Cfb and Cfa climates

Who would grasp Koppen's flawed system anyway? And oceanic climates have a "polar influence" now? That's new to me...
Sochi is wet all year round and its summers are brief, despite reaching 28C. It comes across as a transitional Cfa/Cfb climate to the least, if not a full-fledged Cfb.
I find it to be a bit weird that Hobart has quite low average highs in warmest months but high record highs, higher than Sochi. I like Sochi more as Hobart is too oceanic and boring.

I'm not surprised that it's new to you.
Take an interest in climate -it's a fascinating subject.
